When you ask people if smoking has benefits, you will get a straight no! They will not even ask about the contents of the smoke. Smoking is often associated with tobacco, which of course, is dangerous to your health. But do you know there are other smokable herbs? And they have immense medicinal benefits.

Herbs have always been the cornerstone of human medication. Traditional medicines consist mainly of herbs and other plant materials. While most herbs are ingested or applied topically on the affected region, some can be smoked. Smokable herbs may not be widespread in the modern world, but they’re still important.

This combination of herbal medicine in a blended format is designed to give the smoker a pleasant and relaxing feeling with a fresh Herbal taste, free from additional effects like the one experienced after smoking tobacco. The smoking herbal blend has a sweet smell and a natural aroma that is earthly and attractive.

How Smokable Herbs Can Help You

Smoking is typically thought of as the inhalation of burning cigarettes, which contain not only tobacco but hundreds of added chemicals and synthetics.  While cigarette smoking is absolutely harmful to health, smoking other organic herbs can have some surprising benefits to health & vitality.

Treating Respiratory Infections

Are you suffering from a persistent respiratory infection that keeps recurring even after taking medication? This could be because the disease has spread to many parts of the body, making it difficult to treat. But here’s the good news, there is a smokable herb that offers a natural permanent solution.

Smoking herbal blends can become a lovely part of life. It is nice to do after a meal, with friends or loved ones. Certain blends may be more calming, inspiring, or flavorful. Choose the right blend to support the atmosphere. As always, practice mindfulness, and respect the herbs.

The holy herb; that’s what many believers consider hyssops to be. It is a herb used to purge and cleanse in the Bible, but this ancient herb transcends the spiritual realm. Hyssops is a powerful antioxidant that can treat several respiratory symptoms, sore throat, the common cold, coughs, and asthma.

Helps Reduce Nicotine Addiction

Anyone addicted to cigarettes will tell you that quitting is their biggest challenge. Nicotine is highly addictive, and once you get hooked, withdrawal comes with severe effects that many smokers find unbearable. So, they see themselves smoking again to wade off the results.

If you struggle to quit smoking, non-addictive herbs can help numb the withdrawal effects. Red raspberry leaves contain potent properties that neutralize nicotine poison and help you get off cigarettes without much struggle.

The leaves, fruits, and stems of red raspberry contain ellagic acid, rapidly eliminating nicotine from the body system. Ellagic acid converts nicotine into serum cotinine. By doing so, it rids your blood system of nicotine as well as other harmful chemicals present in tobacco smoke. Red raspberry leaves also have an anxiolytic effect, and experts believe this can also help tobacco addicts withdraw from nicotine.

Smokable Herbs Help Calm the Mind

One thing that smokers like is the calming effect that smoking offers. Smoking helps relax the mind, and you will often see smokers taking a few puffs before they enter the stage or engage in an activity that presents high anxiety. People have been using herbs for thousands of years to treat many health conditions. Scientific studies indicate that certain herbs may help to alleviate the symptoms of anxiety.

Smokable herbs like Mugwort, St. John’s Wort, and peppermint have anti-anxiety properties that can calm your mind and help you relax. St. John’s Wort is a “feel good” plant known for its mood stabilization and enhancing properties.

By smoking these herbs, you not only get a relaxing effect on the body, but users also say that they help enhance dream recollection.

Substitute for Tobacco

Somes smokes, like tobacco, are harsh to the throat and lungs. If one has to smoke, then why not use other herbs that are smoother and comfortable?

Herbs like mullein produce a gentle yet powerful smoke, while peppermint has a robust and full-bodied smoke. These herbs can function better as substitutes to tobacco.

Many smokable herbs also contain an array of essential nutrients, including vitamins, flavonoids, calcium, potassium, and phosphorus that are beneficial to the body.

Smokable Herbs Stimulate Appetite

Some people suffer from low appetite without knowing the cause. While many people take lack of appetite lightly, it could signal deeper psychological or physical problems. It is advisable to find the root cause and deal with it.

Lack of appetite can result from many issues such as anorexia, gastrointestinal problems, liver disease, and even depression and stress. Smokable herbs can help alleviate most of these issues and stimulate appetite.

One herb that can stimulate appetite is the white horehound. It contains high concentrations of marrubiin, which can stimulate appetite. Hyssop also has medicinal properties beneficial to the gut and can help with hunger.

Conclusion

Many herbs have various medicinal properties beneficial to the lungs, digestive tract, and other body organs. A single herb could contain multiple benefits for your body. When smoked, these compounds are delivered directly into the lungs and the bloodstream.

I hope that this article has been helpful informational and insightful and that you can now walk away with a greater understanding of smokable herbs and how they can give you amazing benefits. There can be serious interactions between certain herbs and medications. A person who is taking any kind of medication should consult their doctor before they begin taking herbal products.

I was scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound to potentially look for breast cancer…and boy did this cause some scanxiety!Good news! There’s no lumps, bumps, cysts, tumors, etc. my tests are normal. So why did I flunk my first mammogram? It could have been a glitch. Or…Hormones can cause breast tissue to be slightly different from week to week or scan to scan, which is why they suggest not doing your scan the week before your period (which is when I got scanned). It can be hard for women to avoid that week though when appointments are often made months in advance.Either way, I’ll be back next year for my 3rd mammogram. I hope you’ll remember to schedule yours.#breastcancer #mammogram #annualmammogram #scanxiety #perimenopausehealth #womenover40
