As soon as people hear anything relating to the cannabis plant, they immediately assume that it’s illegal in the United Kingdom, or UK. So even in oils and other products, consumers keep their distance because they don’t want to fall foul of the law. Well, you might be avoiding these products to your detriment because CBD isn’t illegal in the UK. Keep reading to learn more!

CBD UK Law

It’s time to end the confusion once and for all – CBD is legal across the four countries of the UK, including Great Britain, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. This being said, manufacturers like Greenbox UK, must meet certain standards if they are to supply products to the market. Unfortunately, there is a problem in the industry with unauthorized products, and this is where consumers have difficulties. When looking at CBD capsules, CBD oil, CBD sprays, and other CBD products, always choose reliable pharmacies and websites.

Naturally, the products need to meet the right requirements, requirements that ensure they are safe for human consumption. What are these requirements? One of the biggest is the limit of 0.2% THC content.

If you don’t have any experience with the cannabis plant, THC is the ingredient that separates illegal cannabis and legal CBD. THC, short for tetrahydrocannabinol, is the ingredient that induces the ‘high’ effect in humans. While CBDs are taken from the same cannabis plant, they don’t contain anywhere near the levels of THC compared to illegal cannabis.

When shopping the market, ensure that any product you choose doesn’t overstep this 0.2% THC content limit. If it contains more than the limit, the product is illegal and will have other side effects when consumed or used.

When Did Laws Change?

Back in the day, you might remember a world where all products from the cannabis plant were illegal. As scientists and researchers learn more about the plant, regulations have evolved, and this is what has confused consumers as they see more products hitting the shelves.

Traditionally, CBD oils first entered shops and websites as food supplements. Add a little to your meal and you’ll benefit from the product without having to consume it another way. Then, everything changed in 2016 when the Medicines & Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA) made all medicinal CBD products legal across the UK.

As you can imagine, this niche has strict licensing laws, and the products must be advertised as medicinal as opposed to anything else. Licensing in the UK is essential because it keeps the niche safe. Consumers know that products found through reliable pharmacies and websites meet the standards and guidance for products in the industry.

Benefits of CBD Extracts

Why should you even pay attention to this niche? Why should you look at CBD products in the first place? Well, scientists are quickly learning more about how they can help people with anxiety, stress, depression, and sleep deprivation. Offering calming effects but without the THC side effects, it helps to relieve stress after long days at work while also reducing anxiety.

Elsewhere, some people use CBD products to relieve chronic pain, ease the symptoms related to cancer, act as a natural antidepressant, treat acne, and boost heart health.

With the right provider, all oils are tested in the lab and never exceed the THC limits. Therefore, they meet government guidelines, and you can enjoy the benefits without any of the side effects normally associated with the cannabis plant.

I failed my annual mammogram. I was scheduled for I failed my annual mammogram. I was scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound to potentially look for breast cancer…and boy did this cause some scanxiety!Good news! There’s no lumps, bumps, cysts, tumors, etc. my tests are normal. So why did I flunk my first mammogram? It could have been a glitch. Or…Hormones can cause breast tissue to be slightly different from week to week or scan to scan, which is why they suggest not doing your scan the week before your period (which is when I got scanned). It can be hard for women to avoid that week though when appointments are often made months in advance.Either way, I’ll be back next year for my 3rd mammogram. I hope you’ll remember to schedule yours.#breastcancer #mammogram #annualmammogram #scanxiety #perimenopausehealth #womenover40
