Cannabis is more widely used than ever before, partly because of its changing legal status and the documented health benefits. If you are thinking of using any cannabis products, there is a lot that you need to consider, such as CBD, alternatives to smoking, and the risks of dabbing. CBD and THC can be good for you, but it can depend on the types of cannabis products that you use. So read this quick but factual guide to avoid some of the misinformation around it.

Understand What THC Does

Some cannabis products contain THC, which is the compound in cannabis that intoxicates and can lead to a cannabis use disorder because it stimulates the brain in the same way as other pleasures like sex and food. Quality THC comes in different strengths, and some products are limited by where they are sold. THC is also banned in some states and countries. THC has been linked to health benefits, including its powerful effectiveness preventing epileptic seizures.

Cannabis Safety with CBD Products

The most popular cannabis products are the ones that contain CBD only. CBD is like THC but far less potent. It provides the mellow feeling of THC without impairing cognitive function like THC does at high dosages. CBD is so popular that 60% of adults in the US have used it. CBD is excellent for reducing feelings of anxiety and is recommended by many health experts as a safe way to do so. It is also more available than THC as it doesn’t impact the brain the same way.

You Don’t Have to Smoke It

Cannabis can positively impact health and harm it. The worst effects of cannabinoids on the brain, and indeed the rest of the body, come from smoking cannabis. Fortunately, you don’t need to smoke cannabis to get the health benefits you need. In fact, quite the opposite is true. Cannabis products come in all shapes and sizes, such as tablets, creams, drinks, and, of course, gummies! These all provide different things depending on what you need cannabis for.

Limit How Much You Smoke

Some people smoke cannabis because they like the ritual of rolling a joint, the taste, and the smell. But when you smoke cannabis, it affects your body and brain in a different way than other cannabis products. In particular, your lungs will be flooded with cannabis and tobacco smoke if you also use it. Therefore, smoking cannabis is probably the most toxic method of using it. One to two joints per week is enough, and it is best to consider healthier methods instead.

Explore Other Cannabis Products

As mentioned, you don’t need to smoke cannabis to feel the benefits. There are other products, such as edibles, which are very popular. But are edibles the safest way to enjoy cannabis?:

  • Tinctures are small vials of cannabis extract you can drop into drinks.
  • Edibles come in various forms, such as gummies, candy, and chocolate.
  • You can use sublinguals to absorb a cannabis product under your tongue.
  • CBD cosmetics like topicals are creams and balms you can apply to your skin.
  • Cannabis energy drinks are available from your CBD resellers.

Is cannabis extract good for the skin?

Each cannabis product yields different results. Cannabis creams have been shown to reduce inflammation and reduce conditions like eczema with continued use over a three-month period.

There are a few different cannabis products you can use. These include edibles like gummies, topical skin creams, and drops for drinks. They can all have different yet satisfying results.

What About Cannabis Vaping?

Maybe you still want to smoke but don’t like joints. Vaping may be the solution. But it isn’t without its own risks. While vaping has become a popular delivery method for nicotine, there are still some serious questions about the long-term health risks of vaping. In the US and UK, there are severe cases of collapsed lungs in young adults who extensively use Juul products. This is mainly linked to vitamin E acetate, so vaping non-concentrated cannabis is better for you.

Keep Your Paraphernalia Clean

If you want to continue to smoke cannabis but are worried about the long-term side effects of marijuana, you need to learn to keep things hygienic. Smoking is inherently bad for your health. But smoking with dirty equipment and non-approved filters or papers will only make things worse. Use glass bongs only and keep them sparkling clean. Also, clean pipes should be used and never roll on dirty surfaces. Don’t share joints or anything else that touches another’s lips!

Does Dabbing Increase Cannabis Safety

Dabbing is a relatively new concept in marijuana use. It is considered a cleaner way to use cannabis, but there is still research going into the long-term effects. Strangely, it works in almost identical ways to vaping. The marijuana is heated to the point of producing vapor, which you can then inhale. One of the key concerns is that dabbing can deliver up to 80% more THC than recommended. Perhaps this is why it is becoming a popular way to use THC products.

Check with Your Doctor First

Be aware that CBD and THC products are still highly illegal in many countries. This is because there are well-documented health risks of cannabis and marijuana products. However, for all the negative things we find about these products, there are just as many health benefits. This is what spurs the debate. If you feel you can benefit by using these products, then by all means, go ahead if it is legal where you live. But always consult your doctor before doing so.

Summary

You must first understand what each product, such as THC, actually does, or you risk low cannabis safety when using them. You don’t need to smoke cannabis to reap the benefits, and there are many products you can use, such as gummies and creams. It is also essential to keep your equipment clean. Above all, speak to your doctor before using any cannabis products. They can advise you about the risks, how to use it, and the best solution to your health issue.

I failed my annual mammogram. I was scheduled for I failed my annual mammogram. I was scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound to potentially look for breast cancer…and boy did this cause some scanxiety!Good news! There’s no lumps, bumps, cysts, tumors, etc. my tests are normal. So why did I flunk my first mammogram? It could have been a glitch. Or…Hormones can cause breast tissue to be slightly different from week to week or scan to scan, which is why they suggest not doing your scan the week before your period (which is when I got scanned). It can be hard for women to avoid that week though when appointments are often made months in advance.Either way, I’ll be back next year for my 3rd mammogram. I hope you’ll remember to schedule yours.#breastcancer #mammogram #annualmammogram #scanxiety #perimenopausehealth #womenover40
