Cannabis has made a name in most households in the last few years owing to the wave of legalization. You can find either cannabis or CBD written on a wide range of products on the market, but it is not just the products that are under the grasp of cannabis.

Many professionals today are offering cannabis-infused massage therapy to their clients, and guess what? It is an instant hit among massage lovers all over the world.

Wondering why? Read on to find out everything you needed to know about cannabis and massage.

What is cannabis?

The Cannabis sativa plant is known for its medicinal and therapeutic properties across the globe. People have been using the plant for centuries to get relief from physical and mental troubles.

Cannabis contains over a hundred different compounds known as cannabinoids, which determine how the plant will affect you. Among the many cannabinoids present in cannabis, we are well-aware of the two most prominent ones, which are cannabidiol and tetrahydrocannabinol.

While cannabidiol or CBD is the healing element of cannabis, THC or tetrahydrocannabinol is the psychoactive element that induces a high. Are you among the few people who have never laid their hands on this magical plant? You can start by getting budget buds to enjoy that buzz.

Cannabis laws are changing and using the herb is more accessible and legal than ever before. However, if you plan on using THC-containing products, it’s a good idea to use and carry a medical marijuana card. These prove that you can use cannabis medicinally with permission from your doctor.

How does cannabis massage work?

Well, there is not much of a difference between a standard massage and a cannabis massage. The only difference here is that the therapist will use CBD oil or cannabis-infused oil instead of the regular one.

They will apply it to the areas that have more veins so that your body can absorb the cannabinoids more quickly and give you the relaxation that you need. Will a cannabis massage get you high? Fret not for the oil only contains CBD, not THC.

Hence, you can relax and let go of your stress without worrying about getting high in between your massage session!

What are the benefits of using cannabis during the massage?

There are many ways in which a cannabis massage can help you. Here are a few of them:

1. Alleviates stress

With fast-paced life and never-ending deadlines, stress has become a significant part of our lives today. Cannabis comes as a blessing in disguise for the ones suffering from stress and anxiety. CBD is known to have calming properties and has helped many people in tackling the symptoms of anxiety and stress.

When you combine cannabis with massage therapy, the effects are astounding. It can heighten the stress-releasing effects of massage and help you go through your day with ease.

Have a big presentation coming up? Try taking a cannabis massage a day before and let go off your stress.

2. Relaxes the muscles

Are sore muscles not letting you live your best life? A good massage session infused with cannabis can do the trick for you.

You must be aware of the fact that when you smoke cannabis, it takes your mind into a state of deep relaxation. But, the relaxing effects of cannabis extends to the rest of your body as well. Rubbing the cannabis oil gently on your skin can reduce the soreness of your muscles and make you feel energetic after a single session.

It is a beneficial therapy for athletes, but you must talk to your physician once before you begin the cannabis massage therapy to be sure about its effects.

3. Help manage the pain

The people who are suffering from chronic pain find it hard to function without their daily dose of painkillers. If you are looking for a natural and organic way to deal with the excruciating and debilitating pain, you can give cannabis massage a try. CBD has pain-relieving properties, which can help alleviate pain.

Moreover, the cannabinoids present in cannabis, attach themselves to the receptors present in our body and regulate how we feel towards different stimuli. Adding cannabis in the massage therapy that focuses on the affected area will help reduce pain.

4. Has anti-inflammatory properties

Cannabis has anti-inflammatory properties. The cannabinoids interact with the endocannabinoid system present in our body and can affect a series of functions, like your mood, appetite, immune system, hormonal balance, and much more.

When the therapist uses cannabis during the massage session, it might reduce the inflammation and pain. Not only that, it may even keep skin diseases and pain at bay.

5. Nourishes the skin

The skin is the largest organ in your body, and you ought to keep it in good shape. If you are fighting dry skin or skin disorders like eczema and psoriasis, it is a sign that your skin lacks nourishment.

The most natural and effective way of moisturizing your skin is cannabis. Cannabis contains essential fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6, which are essential to keep your skin healthy.  When the therapist uses it on your body while massaging, it adds a layer of protection over your skin that keeps you protected from pollution and harsh weather conditions.

Final Thoughts

Cannabis is a magical plant that is helping millions of people around the globe in reforming their lives. The therapeutic benefits that it offers are making it a household name. While the Canadian government is still opening up to the idea of using cannabis openly, the public has already given a favorable verdict.

Researchers are trying to treat everything from everyday ailments to even serious diseases such as cancer with the help of cannabis. From alleviating pain to reducing stress and also nourishing dry skin, it is safe to say that cannabis is transforming the wellness industry for good. So, if you haven’t already tried it, now is the right time to make an appointment, or you can buy weed online Canada and try it at home.

I failed my annual mammogram. I was scheduled for I failed my annual mammogram. I was scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound to potentially look for breast cancer…and boy did this cause some scanxiety!Good news! There’s no lumps, bumps, cysts, tumors, etc. my tests are normal. So why did I flunk my first mammogram? It could have been a glitch. Or…Hormones can cause breast tissue to be slightly different from week to week or scan to scan, which is why they suggest not doing your scan the week before your period (which is when I got scanned). It can be hard for women to avoid that week though when appointments are often made months in advance.Either way, I’ll be back next year for my 3rd mammogram. I hope you’ll remember to schedule yours.#breastcancer #mammogram #annualmammogram #scanxiety #perimenopausehealth #womenover40
